Volunteer Outreach

Mission: The Volunteer Outreach Committee is committed to reaching out to our neighbors in need in Dedham and beyond. This is accomplished through various collections and drives initiated by the Committee and through the generosity of NewBridge residents.

Ongoing projects include:

  • Household goods are collected for the "Welcome Home" charity, which provides household items to those transitioning from homelessness into homes
  • Clothing is collected and distributed to those in need in the local area through the St. Vincent de Paul Society
  • Birthdays in a Box supplies the items for a Birthday Party for a child living in a shelter
  • Family Table collection provides kosher items for families experiencing food insecurity to celebrate the Jewish holidays
  • Vision Supplies (glasses, sunglasses, cases) are collected for those in need
  • Toiletries for the Women’s Lunch Place, a day shelter for women
  • Annual collection for the Dedham Food Pantry

Special projects include:

  • Sorting children’s clothes for Cradles to Crayons
  • Collecting warm winter accessories, suitcases, umbrellas, and anything else we can provide for the homeless at the Women’s Lunch Place and the Needham Community Council
